The Hole in the Wall

Sullivan’s Tap Room

St. John’s Priory

Valley of Roses Perfume Workshop

Kyteler’s Inn

Matt the Millers

Kilkenny Castle

Maybe I haven’t checked all the cameras.  Where are all the other pictures?!?

Time to do some seasonal planting in the garden and cooking for the pantry.

Goodbye Dahlias, hello Autumn Flowering Heather

. . .and four pints of Apple Butter

Cranberry Walnut Sourdough

We’ve just returned from a fantastic long weekend in Kilkenny.  We did the works: castles, abbeys, pub crawls, shopping, spa day. . .you name it.  Lovely little Medieval town (more evidence of that in the next post).  Can’t wait to go back!

Estate Dogs

Room 41

Breakfast for a 40-year-old carnivore (swear he doesn’t eat like this at home)

Oasis Spa (cracking deep tissue massages and indoor/outdoor thermal area)

I’ve been on a high-level training course this week, and the hotel where it’s being held has a pair of lovebirds in the lobby.

The venue is far from home, but the lovebirds make me smile and think of bebe and all our monster birds.  🙂

. . .when entertaining Americans. . .  🙂

Sir Jack McCarthy’s Black Pudding, Preserved Rhubarb, Chive Oil, Velvet Cloud Sheep’s Yoghurt

Twice Cooked Chips & Garlic Mayo

Mussels, Smoked Whiskey & Garlic Butter

Photos are terrible quality, but the food was excellent.  Particular standouts were Sea Bass Nigiri- torched with black smoked bacon and truffle & Lobster Tataki- slightly blanched lobster meat served chilled with sweet ginger, light ponzu jelly, lardo crudo and good olive oil.
