Bocadillos at dawn!  Before I sent Scott off to work for the day, we grabbed some brekkie at Ricard Camarena’s Central Bar inside the Mercado Central in Valencia.

Complimentary Olives

“Ricard Camarena” Lomo, cebolla, mostaza y queso

“Canalla” Morcilla picante, revuelto y pimiento encurtido

And here’s what 10 euros buys you at this fantastic market:

Obviously, most of that money was spent on jamon. . .totally worth it!

Today’s breakfast of champions: hot apple cider with whiskey, patatas bravas with chorizo & fried egg, hand rolled salted caramel ice cream. . .oh, and dumplings.  Always dumplings.

Today, we finally managed to get to our local farmers’ market in Dun Laoghaire.  If you leave here hungry, there’s seriously something wrong with you: sushi, yakisoba, paella, tapas, donuts, ice cream, fudge, bibimbap, pad Thai.  There is quite literally something for everyone.  Our first stop: dumplings!

After our dumpling and coffee snack, it was tough to decide what to eat next.  In the end, we went for a falafel plate.

Of course, we also brought home flowers.

Plus, there’s high fiber bread, olives and a sampler selection of raw milk cheeses for a light dinner later.

Same time next week?

Just FYI: Since we’re still overseas, a comprehensive Punta Cana post will follow in mid January when we get back to France.  🙂

And now I will edit the Lyon photos. . .probably.  🙂

Now that we’ve been in France for two years, we though it best to find out what Lyon has to offer . . . besides the airport.  🙂

This year’s post is not comprehensive.  We just went too many places, so I’ve had to edit.  I’ve left out most of France, the UK, and quite a few places in the US.  Here are some leftovers. . .  🙂
